The Oyaide L/i50 OFC is the Oyaide's foundational power cable. As an entry-level design, it punches well above its price class through deliberate engineering rather than exotic materials. Its core innovation is a star-quad twist geometry: four high-purity OFC conductors are braided so their magnetic fields mutually cancel, dramatically attenuating noise generated within the cable run itself. Each of the four 2.0 mm² cores is individually jacketed in a reinforced Teflon (Tetron) sleeve to suppress inter-conductor resonance, while the outer insulation uses mechanically robust silicone rubber that absorbs instantaneous current-load vibration. The conductors undergo extended low-temperature annealing to homogenise internal crystalline structure and eliminate stress distortion from the drawing process, ensuring stable, consistent transmission. Finished with a blue braided textile outer and 10.5 mm overall diameter.
