Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. This warranty is provided in addition to (and not instead of) your rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. Warranty against defects (workmanship)
We warrant that Cyrus Cables products are free from defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from the date of delivery. If a defect arises during this period under normal use, we will, at our option, repair or replace the product (or the defective component).
2. What’s covered
- Faults in assembly, soldering, terminations, or internal wiring that occur under normal use.
- Workmanship-related failures of connectors supplied and installed by us.
3. What’s not covered
- Damage caused by misuse, accidents, liquid ingress, crushing, pulling on connectors, or improper installation.
- Normal wear-and-tear (for example cosmetic scuffs that do not affect performance).
- Damage caused by modifications, repairs, or re-terminations performed by anyone other than us.
- Issues caused by incorrect equipment compatibility, unless we confirmed the specification in writing.
4. How to make a warranty claim
- Email dean@cyruscables.com.au with your order number and description of the issue.
- Include clear photos (and, if relevant, a short video) showing the issue.
- We’ll troubleshoot first. If a return is needed, we’ll provide instructions and a return address.
- If the issue is confirmed as a covered defect, we’ll cover reasonable return shipping and send the repaired/replaced item back to you.
5. Remedies under Australian Consumer Law
Under the Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You may also be entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
