The three Zonotone power cables in this bracket are close enough in price that conductor size and connector fit should decide the purchase. Here is what actually changes between the 6NPS-3.0 Meister, 6NPS-3.5 Meister and 6N2P-3.5 Blue.
6NPS-3.0 Meister: the slimmer three-core
The 6NPS-3.0 Meister starts at $500. It uses three 3.0sq cores made from a 6NCu and high-purity OFC hybrid, with an aluminium wrap shield around them. The clear blue PVC jacket is 11mm in diameter, and the cable carries a 15A rating.
Those numbers make it the easiest of the three to route and the lightest mechanical load on an inlet. It is a sensible candidate for a CD player, DAC, streamer or integrated amplifier where a full-sized stiff cable would be awkward. The three-core construction includes an earth conductor for equipment that requires one.
The current connector menus offer C15 or C19 at the equipment end and AU, US or EU at the wall. C15 is the familiar three-pin pattern used for most standard C14 inlets, while C19 suits the larger high-current inlet. Check the socket rather than ordering by the amplifier's size or reputation.
6NPS-3.5 Meister: more copper and a different jacket
The 6NPS-3.5 Meister starts at $522. Each of its three cores increases to 3.5sq. The hybrid now combines 6NCu, silver-coated OFC and high-purity OFC, with pure OFC used for the earth. A thicker aluminium wrap shield and a blue-and-black braided outer distinguish it from the clear-sheathed 3.0.
Its jacket is 12mm rather than 11mm, so the physical difference is smaller than the internal one, but it is still worth allowing room for the bend behind a rack. This is the model I would compare first for an integrated or power amplifier where the larger conductor and three-core layout are wanted.
It also carries a 15A cable rating. That does not mean every domestic component needs this much conductor, nor that the 3.5 will automatically sound better on a low-draw source. It means the cable itself has ample electrical capacity when correctly terminated.
6N2P-3.5 Blue: two cores, not a cheaper Meister
The 6N2P-3.5 Blue starts at $520. Its two 3.5sq cores use the same 6NCu, silver-coated OFC and high-purity OFC family of materials, with an aluminium wrap shield and an 11mm braided nylon jacket. The crucial difference is the two-core layout, not a missing layer of audio quality.
This is the model to discuss when the component has a two-pin mains connection and no protective earth conductor is required. Do not assume that a two-core cable is appropriate simply because the plug can be made to fit. The equipment design and inlet type come first.
For a C7 figure-8 requirement, tell me before ordering so the complete cable and connector combination can be checked. For an earthed C14 or C20 application, use the connection the manufacturer intended rather than treating the three models as interchangeable flavours.
How I would choose between them
Choose the 3.0 when a flexible three-core cable and straightforward routing are the priorities. Choose the 3.5 when you specifically want its larger hybrid conductors and braided construction. Choose the 6N2P when the equipment calls for a two-pole connection. If two models fit, I would not spend the difference on conductor area alone.
All three figures above are current list starting prices. Length and connector upgrades set the final total, and every build is cut and terminated to order in Sydney. The three can be compared in our power cables range, or you can send a back-panel photograph through the custom order form for a fit check.
