Accessories FAQ

What banana plugs fit my speaker cable?
Most speaker and amplifier terminals accept standard 4 mm banana plugs, which suits our Oyaide OSP range. Check that the plug's cable entry suits your wire gauge, and where terminals are spade-only we can fit spade connectors instead.
What is the difference between RCA and XLR connectors?
RCA is the single-pin unbalanced connector used on most hi-fi interconnects. XLR is the three-pin balanced connector used on balanced preamplifiers, DACs and power amplifiers, offering better noise rejection on long runs.
Do Oyaide banana plugs suit 4 mm speaker terminals?
Yes. The OSP series is designed around the standard 4 mm terminal found on the vast majority of speakers and amplifiers, with several plating and body options to choose from.
Can I order custom-length interconnects or power cables with these connectors?
Absolutely. The connectors listed here are the same parts we use in our made-to-order cables. Choose your connector options on any cable product page, or send a request through the custom order form.
Which IEC connector do I need for my amplifier or DAC?
Look at the inlet on the component: C13 is the standard three-pin on most gear, C15 suits high-temperature inlets, and C19 is the large horizontal inlet on high-current amplifiers. A photo of the inlet sent to us will confirm it instantly.
