Since 1992, S/A LAB has maintained the same unwavering commitment to quality and value, manufacturing every step of the process, from wire drawing to finished the cable, and all entirely within Japan.Guided by the philosophy of "adding nothing, subtracting nothing," these cables deliver an exceptionally transparent sound. They are richly detailed, highly resolving, and entirely free from coloration, cables of remarkable accuracy. The HLP4 is an evolution of the original HLP. It features a glass-fiber core at its center, and by employing an inverted concentric alignment structure (CPW winding), the conductor volume has been significantly increased: Layer 1 uses 58 strands of 0.08 mm wire, while Layer 2 uses 30 strands of 0.18 mm wire. The earth/drain wire has also been upgraded to 30 strands of 0.18 mm.An aluminum shield further enhances the design, improving electrical parameters across the board. The cable also uses an environmentally conscious polyolefin as its new insulating material, ensuring both safety and performance. The result is a characteristically tight, well-balanced sound.
