The SP-ZERO is the speaker cable half of Tiglon's new ZERO series, released in Japan on July 1, 2026. The series is built on one idea: addition by subtraction. Remove noise and unwanted artifacts, and what remains is the music itself.
Structural noise cancelling, not shielding Conventional cables deal with noise by wrapping the conductor in shielding. The SP-ZERO takes a different approach. The stranding of the internal conductors and the twist of the insulation were calculated together as a single structure, so that noise generation is suppressed inside the cable itself. Tiglon calls this structural noise cancelling, and it inherits the design philosophy of their patented Photon Shield technology from the flagship TPL-3000A White Tiger. No shield layer means nothing to restrict the signal, and nothing to add its own character.The conductor: DF-OFC DF-OFC is oxygen free copper produced by dip forming, a process originally patented by General Electric and refined in Japan by Showa Electric Wire and Cable. A core wire is passed through molten copper and hot rolled, producing copper with 99.99% formal purity but higher conductivity than conventional OFC. Tiglon has used DF-OFC across their range for years, including the flagship TPL-2000SP speaker cable. Here it appears in a 1.25sq two core configuration, roughly 16 AWG per leg.
H.S.E Professional burn in Every length of SP-ZERO is treated with Tiglon's Hyper Saturated Energizer process before shipping. Programmed electrical currents are applied to the conductor to stabilise its crystal structure and optimise energy transfer efficiency. The practical result: the cable arrives already conditioned, with the long break in period largely done for you.
Construction and finish Special PVC insulation, approximately 7.5mm outer diameter, in purple and black. Retailers in Japan note it is relatively flexible and easy to route. No shield, no magnesium filter, no exotic filler. The performance comes from the structure itself, which is the entire point of the ZERO series.
At 1.25sq, the SP-ZERO suits stand mounts, bookshelves and moderate length runs to floorstanders. It also makes an excellent basis for jumpers and bi-wire high frequency legs. Japanese audio press has already taken notice: Audio Accessory magazine gave the ZERO series a four page feature, with reviewer Akira Sumiyama calling it "a new reference from Tiglon" and praising how the natural gentleness of DF-OFC matches the open sound created by the twist structure.
